An industrial battery for solar is a high-capacity, deep-cycle energy storage unit designed to handle the demanding requirements of commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar installations. Unlike residential batteries, industrial solar batteries must deliver reliable performance over thousands of cycles, operate in harsh environments, and provide the capacity needed for large-scale energy storage.

Types of Industrial Solar Batteries

Battery Bank (kWh) = Daily Consumption (kWh) × Days of Autonomy ÷ DoD

Example — Commercial Building:

  • Daily consumption: 200 kWh
  • Days of autonomy: 1 day
  • DoD limit: 80%
  • Required: 200 ÷ 0.80 = 250 kWh battery bank
